PM Shri Kednriya Vidyalya IIP library serves a variety of functions that are essential for the academic success and intellectual growth of students. Here are some of the primary functions of a school library:
- It provides suitable documents and information helpful in the school’s educational programs and extracurricular activities.
- It makes available textbooks and other additional reading material for all subjects as per the requirement of teachers and students.
- It provides handy documents and illustrated picture books with bold and large fonts to create children’s interest in reading.
- It provides the latest teaching-learning material in the form of books, CDs, audio-visual, etc., to improve the teaching skills of teachers.
- The Digital Library at Kendriya Vidyalaya IIP, Dehradun, part of the PM SHRI (Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India) initiative, offers a significant step toward integrating technology into everyday learning.The library is equipped with 8 desktop computers, all networked with high-speed internet. These systems are designed to support various academic needs, from basic internet research to advanced software use.
